Pickwickpine Furniture Ltd, a furniture retailer based in Cambridge had always stipulated a strict policy of stocking eco friendly products wherever possible. That policy has not been adopted by the majority of other furniture retailers in this business sector, profit often coming before all else and ECOworld Furniture was set up as a result of the owners and staffs’ desire to make a determined effort to assist reversing the worrying trend of unnecessary deforestation. It was felt that the public did care passionately for the environment and would welcome the opportunity of playing their part by purchasing eco friendly furniture from a proven outlet and thus avoiding those with less favourable credentials. Even though on a very few occasions higher pricing might be encountered the long term benefits would be recognised. As a result ECOworld Furniture can offer to everybody eco friendly quality furniture at affordable prices and not at the expense of the planet. Every effort is made by Ecoworld Furniture’s suppliers to police the sources of their raw materials and ensure sensible reforestation so that for future generations to come all will be able to enjoy solid wood furniture safe in the knowledge that it has been made from sustainable sources. We try to deliver all orders as quickly as possible however we cannot and will not offer that boast of next day delivery if by doing so control of vehicular use cannot be maximised. There being little use if the benefits of managed timber supply are outweighed by unnecessary pollution caused by the vehicles employed to deliver. That apart where possible next day delivery can be achieved.
